Silang, Cavite: Ilog Maria Honeybee Farm

My team and I decided to pass by Ilog Maria on our way to Tagaytay. Their sign is clearly visible coming from the Rotunda via Sta. Rosa exit. The farm is open from 8:30 AM to 5:00PM, we got there at around 9:30 AM and I think we were their first batch of visitors for the day, a couple of cars followed afterwards.
It’s a 3 minute dirt road drive from the main road.

The farm was quiet and relaxing.

Their nature friendly comfort room.:)

The Bee Yard

They also have an observation hive where you can watch the bees do their thing.

Also, staying true to their advocacy of making the most out of nature and caring for the environment, the farm’s electricity is sourced almost fully from solar and wind power.

The small wind mill is a bit hard to see in the picture, but it's there.
One reminder though, If you’ll be going around the farm, and you love taking pictures, make sure that you ask permission first before snapping away because they only allow pictures taken of selected areas. We weren’t aware of this and there were no signs anywhere in the farm telling you where to and not to take pictures. If not because of one of our team mates whom the owner engaged in a conversation, we would be out of there in a jiffy after the owner threw an unappreciated joke on our group because of the camera usage.
One thing's clear though...:)

Better yet, check the farm rules on their website before visiting (www.ilogmaria.com)

Putting that aside, and more than anything else, I enjoyed finally being able to visit Ilog Maria’s actual store. I’m a fan of honey, with it being known for its antibacterial and moisturizing properties. I’ve tried some of their products via ordering online but It was more fun seeing all of their produce in one aromatic shop where you can take your pick from their array of natural soaps, shampoo and other bee produced products.
Natural soaps and scrub.

Massage oil, shampoo, insect repellent, shower gel and liquid soaps.

Bee Propolis, Pollen and Honey Cider Vinegar.

Beeswax candles and clay.

They also sell ointments, toothpaste, aromatic oils and of course - pure honey.
You also get to enjoy their wholesale prices which is around 3.00++ PHP cheaper than their online price, plus of course, there is no delivery fee and no wait time. It’s definitely worth the visit if you’re going to or from Tagaytay.
