Reading  a couple of bad reviews about Fundacion pacita’s food and receiving an abrupt text message from them that their meal costs 400++ per person when we inquired got me worried that we’ll be spending away our 3 days paying for over-priced mediocre meals.

Good thing the reviews were wrong. =)

They just opened Fundacion Pacita for lodging year 2007, so it’s possible that they were able to improve their  meals overtime. One of their personnel even mentioned that they don’t have their chef from Manila yet. But I honestly think they should keep their current one.

The food was so delectable that I found myself looking forward to our daily meals.

Fundacion Pacita has no regular menu, you would be choosing your orders from what they have available for the day.

Below is our Menu
1st Day
Lunch

Tamiduk (Commonly known as Pako) Salad

Tamiduk is abundant in Batanes, and during the duration of my stay, I’ve tasted different variations of the Salad. But my favorite is Fundacion Pacita’s with olives and tomato in vinegar and olive oil.
Sweet Potato sticks
 Oriental Fish

My favorite dish was the Chicken Rendang.
It has a hint of curry and just the right amount of sweetness.
When we checked our camera though, we noticed that we weren't able to take a close up picture of it. It was the last dish to be served, and we were probably too hungry at the time that we immediately dug in.

It's the dish at the far right end of the table. =)
Cost

1 Chicken Rendang=350Php
1 Oriental Fish (300g)90Php/1g=270Php
2 Extra Rice 30Php = 60Php
Total=740Php

Complimentary Dish
Fern salad in Vinegar and Olive Oil
Sweet Potato sticks

Dinner
Lizard outside the glass window of the dining area. =)

Blue Rice
Colored with wild blue chick pea.
If there was a change on the taste, it was barely, if not at all noticeable.

Baked Sweet Potato-It's their own harvest!

Stir-Fried Wild Pechay

Ivatan Adobo (Luñis)
I find this dish tasty but a bit too salty for my taste.

Muscovado Sugar

Lavazza coffee (Italian Coffee-Freshly ground beans)

It's one f the best coffee that I have ever tasted. The flavor was so strong I thought for sure I wouldn't be able to sleep, but had no problem sleeping-no palpitations as well. =)

1 Pork Confit=350Php
2 Rice 35Php = 70Php
1 Coffee= 95Php
Total=515Php

3rd Day

Overall, with the service (Compliments to Kuya Cholo and) , the quantity, the presentation, the freshness, the complimentary dishes and most of all, the taste-It’s definitely worth every penny.
